A 28-year-old woman received serious burn injuries when unidentified motorcyclists threw acid on her in Shahdara Town police precincts late on Monday night.
The victim was identified as Robina Bibi, a resident of the Machis Factory area.
Police officials said that Robina was going to see her relatives with her brother when unidentified motorcyclists approached them from behind and threw acid on Robina. She was taken to Mayo Hospital for medical aid where doctors said she was in critical condition.
According to Shahdara Town Police, nobody, including Robina’s relatives, had so far lodged a complaint with the police. The cops said that Robina and her brother had not seen the attackers, so they could not tell anything about them.
