Since hike in petroleum products prices, the PPP led government was under severe pressure from allies and opposition parties along with strike threats from traders and transporters across the country for reversal of the increase. Seeing no other option, the government has finally bowed down slightly to the demands of all this evening and slashed prices of three main petroleum products by Rs 1.16 to Rs 2.32 per liter. After the reduction, the petrol price has come down to Rs 103.68 per liter, kerosene oil Rs 100.19 and high speed diesel at Rs 107.16 per liter.
