A report compiled by secret agencies over the current wave of target killings and arson in Karachi, point fingers at certain political parties leaders, besides establishing links of police officials in unrest. According to sources on Monday, the report leveled gross accusations against some provincial ministers of a big political party in Sindh. It has also been revealed in the report that the PPP ministers, SSP Malir Rao Anwar and other police officers were involved in encroachments.
These personalities have allegedly constructed secret dens particularly in Malir, Dalmia and Pak Colony, the reporter added. It has also been revealed in the report that political parties monopolize their hold with acts of target-killings. The report further said that the coalition partners in Sindh government were also in possession of sophisticated and modern weapons; that was the main reason as to why police and Rangers were still unable to control the fast deteriorating situation. The sources, quoting figures in the report, said that about 900 people had been killed on mere linguistic basis from January 2010 up till now while 57 people had been splayed in sectarian riots.
