As many as 28 faculty members from 23 public sector universities from across the country are attending 18th master trainers-faculty professional development programme (MT-FPDP) of the Higher Education Commission which started here on Tuesday.
The two-month long programme is being arranged by the Learning Innovation Division of HEC and benefitted 496 faculty members from MT-FPDP in 17 batches so far.
The training programme,
specifically designed for in-service teachers, will cover 12 core modules and additional sessions on different important social topics.
The main objective of the programme is to enhance the teaching abilities of the participants to ensure quality education which is entirely dependent on the quality of teachers. The programme caters to participants of both natural and social sciences.
Member (Operation and Planning) HEC, Dr Nasser Ali Khan was the chief guest in the opening ceremony. He explained the valuable contribution of HEC for professional development of the university faculty. He said that the quality of cascading of learning will develop impact of the training.
