The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-220 leaving Abu Dhabi for Islamabad was delayed due to technical reasons at the Abu Dhabi airport, said a PIA spokesman on Sunday. He said that the passengers of the flight PK-220 were looked after by the PIA staff at the Abu Dhabi airport lounge and were provided refreshments. However, he added, due to restrictions of Abu Dhabi’s immigration authorities, the passengers could not be sent to a hotel. The spokesman said that a relief flight for bringing the passengers back home was sent from Karachi to Abu Dhabi on Sunday. At the time of filing this report, the flight PK-220 was expected to arrive in Islamabad by 8:30 pm.
