US should pay circular debt in return for NATO supply: Kashmala

Pakistan Muslim League Secretary Information and Member National Assembly Kashmala Tariq on Monday said on behalf of her party that the “government is in the mood to resume NATO supply”.
She urged upon the rulers that if at last they had decided to resume NATO supply, they should get relief for the Pakistani nation in response. She said that keeping in view Pakistan’s major problems, the US should be made to pay Pakistan’s circular debt, upgrade Railways, PIA and resolve electricity problems. She said the US had given $33 billion to Turkey for only using its route during the Iraq war and gave gigantic facilities to Egypt and Syria. She urged that the US should give the same facilities to Pakistan. Kashmala urged upon the rulers to decide in favour of national interest rather than giving priority to their individual and personal interests. She said that at the start of summer, load shedding was increasing with each passing day and these problems should be addressed on priority. “Our party will strongly oppose resolution in parliament for resuming NATO supply if these facilities were not demanded and confirmed by the rulers,” she said. She also brought on record that the rulers were giving rhetoric statements that they would take in confidence all political parties regarding NATO supply, but despite of representation of our five party members in national assembly, the government did not invite her party.
