Group exhibition of 66 artists put on display

66 established and amateur artists displayed a blend of different forms of art on Saturday, featuring over 100 works at Gallery 6. The unique group show presented miniatures, prints, paintings, photography, drawings and sculptures that portrayed a variety of themes like landscapes, abstracts, still life, architecture, heritage, figurative art and many other subjects. The show titled ‘66 Statements’ is the depiction of fascinating artworks by painters, print makers, sculptors and photographers that explore their respective mediums in an innovative way. The participating artists included AQ Arif, Aasim Akhtar, Abdul Jabbar Adnan Samuel Javed, Ahmed Khan, Athar Jamal, Aziz Hasan, Faisal Asghar, Faten Anjum, Gabrielle Pool, Mansur Aye and Masood Khan. Other artists were Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, Zarah David, Phillip Hall, Omar Waheed, Omar Farid, Nusrat Raza Mangi, Nasir Ahmed, Naureen Qamar, Nahid Raza, Mutaib Shah, Mussarrat Nahid Imam and Matloob Baig. The gallery has displayed one or two art pieces of each artist to harmonise the themes and provide eye catching art experiences for the visitors, said an official of the gallery while talking to the APP.The show will continue till April 15.
