Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Mushir Alam Saturday took notice of the violence in the metropolis, which devoured many previous lives in the past several days.
The CJ sought a report in this connection from Inspector General of Sind Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmed Shah and Sindh Rangers Director General Maj Gen Rizwan Akhtar.
It should be mentioned here that seven people were shot down overnight as the recent spate of target killing is not viewing its end though President Asif Ali Zardari and Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik had earlier given their assurances that the situation will be brought under control and the target killers will be grabbed.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced mourning over the killings of its workers in Orangi Town.

  1. The new so called independent judiciary has woken up. I wonder how many deaths in Karachi would draw attention of the CJ of the supreme court of Pakistan who seems to be mired with NRO and other cases. It is good that the chief justice of the Sindh High court has taken notice but its fate would be the same as it was not long ago when Altaf Hussain brought thousands of people to literally take the court a hostage.
