Karachi mourns as death toll climbs to 14

Firing incidents in various areas of Karachi has claimed 14 lives during last 24 hours, a private TV channel reported.
Reacting to the firing incidents, MQM Rabita Committee has announced to observe day of mourning on Saturday.
In the first incident, unidentified armed men opened fire at a bike and a car on Banaras bridge. Five people were injured in the incident, out of which four succumbed to their injuries late of Friday, hospital sources claimed.
After the Banaras firing incident, the situation got tensed across the city as one more person gunned down in Orangi #10. In UP Mor, unidentified armed men opened fire at a coach, killing driver.
In Defence Phase II, unidentified armed men opened fire at a car at petrol pump, resultantly driver Zohaib lost his life while another sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, police claimed to have found the body of 40-year-old Salahuddin was found in Orangi town.
MQM Rabita Committee has appealed to mark peaceful mourning day on Saturday. The statement issued from MQM Rabita committee appealed traders and shopkeepers to shut their business today.
