Low literacy rate

Education is an essential part of a man’s life. And in this era of technology, advancement and globalisation, education is very important.

It helps in improving living standards and enhances the quality of life. It also helps individuals to run their personal life and bring improvements in their society.

Pakistan cannot survive unless problem of illiteracy is solved. Most of our citizens are unable to read and write due to which they face a lot of problems. They are not even capable to read sign boards.

They hardly know how to communicate or how to utilise modern technology. Illiteracy affects society terribly. The more illiterate people there are in a country, the harder it will be for the country to develop.

There are many reasons of low literacy rate: for example, poverty, population expansion, male dominated society etc. Many people are living below the poverty line due to which it is not possible for them to send their children to schools, colleges and universities.

In this sort of conditions, role and support of the government becomes unavoidable. This problem can be handled by providing education on cheap prices. Therefore, it is necessary for the government to take solid steps towards this problem.
