The Lahore Development Authority has planned to formulate an online data base system regarding sale or allotment of plots in approved private housing schemes that would be linked to its website to keep the general public informed.
The move aims to protect the people from being defrauded and to safeguard their life-savings. LDA Director General Ahad Cheema issued the direction while chairing a meeting to review the duties and responsibilities of Metropolitan Planning Wing of LDA, on Thursday.
He ordered the Chief Metropolitan Planner Waseem Ahmad Khan for providing details of mortgaged plots as well as public utility sites in all the approved and unapproved private housing schemes to the Revenue Department for necessary entries in the Revenue record in order to stop illegal transaction of property and to protect the rights of LDA and private buyers.
The DG further directed that auction proceedings of plots should be started so that provision of physical infrastructure and other basic facilities could be ensured to the residents of these localities. He ordered to submit necessary draft amendments for imposing fine at the rate of Rs 10,000 per kanal, per annum, for total area of such scheme which failed to complete development works within the stipulated time period.
He directed the director administration to immediately make the newly established directorate of private housing schemes functional per directions of the Supreme Court.
A very welcome move. That at least will protect the rights of the buyers against embezzlement/extortion of lifetime savings by these mafias. Government should also stipulate a law that if the company is unable to provide the house as per agreement, the buyer should be paid the rental on his/her house to cover the losses being incurred by the buyer due to delay.
Bair will introduce a very large program of PRINCIPAL consolidation for borrowers.
President Obama’s stimulus package has put money into the
account, and a direct and familiar. And by providing the number of accounts
that you have no idea where to collect on. Since this is the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.
This process is successful for the tens of thousands.
But if you are eligible for this exclusion is $2
million or less. It is better to take on even more debt.
