At least eight people were killed and another three were injured when a passenger van plunged into ravine here on Thursday. According to details, a speedy and overloaded passenger van with at least 18 persons on board fell into a deep gorge while negotiating a sharp turn in Joya area of Abbottabad. As a result of accident six people died on the spot while five others were injured.
The police and rescue teams reached the scene and helped in rescue operation. The injured were taken to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where two more succumbed to their wounds raising death toll to eight. According to hospital sources condition of the other injured was also serious.
