Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday held former dictator General (r) Pervez Musharraf responsible for crises confronting the country’s economy and instability and disturbed law and order situation. Addressing Istehkam-e-Pakistan Conference (Stability of Pakistan Conference) at Jamia Naeemia on Wednesday, Nawaz said he had always preferred national interests and country’s sovereignty over everything while settling issues with foreign countries and never bowed before the international powers dictation and demands.
He said that Pervez Musharraf surrendered to global pressure and gave in at the very first call from the US. Nawaz extended hand of cooperation to all the political parties for preserving sovereignty and integrity of the country, independence of judiciary, strengthening of democratic institutions and opposing martial laws in the future. He invited them to unite at a joint platform to advance what he described as Pakistan agenda.
