At least eight persons were killed and three others sustained injured when a passenger van plunged into ravine here on Thursday.
According to details, a speedy and over loaded passenger van with at least 18 persons on board fell into a deep gorge while negotiating a sharp turn in Joya area of Abbottabad.
As a result of accident, six persons were killed on the spot while five others were injured.
The police and rescue teams reached the scene of the accident and helped in rescue operation.
The injured were shifted to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where two more succumbed to their wounds raising death toll to eight. According to hospital sources, the condition of other injured people was also serious.
