According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 61% oppose, while 33% favour PM Yousaf Raza Gilani’s view that President Zardari enjoys immunity against court proceedings. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across four provinces was asked that prime minister was of the opinion that president had immunity, meaning that as long as he was president, court cannot summon him.
In their opinion, does the President own such right or not? Responding to this, 33% favoured prime minister’s opinion that the president enjoyed immunity against criminal proceedings, while 61% opposed this. However 6% did not give a view.
