Saudi minister’s visit to strengthen bilateral ties, says Firdous

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that upcoming visit of Saudi Minister for Culture and Information Dr Abdul Aziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja would go a long way not only in understanding each other’s culture but would further help strengthen bilateral relations.
She said this while talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz Al-Gadeer, who called on her here.
The Saudi Minister for Culture and Information will arrive here on April 3 for a three-day official visit on the invitation of Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
She said that the two countries would continue to work jointly on every platform for the harmony, unity and progress of Muslims as their peoples were tied in the eternal bond of friendship, trust and brotherhood.
Both the leaders emphasized the need for exchanges in the fields of media and culture so that both the countries should be able to learn from each other’s best practices. They agreed that joint production in movies and documentaries would help both the people to understand each other’s culture better.
The minister thanked the Saudi government for its assistance for Pakistan after 2005 earthquake and victims of 2010 and 2011 floods.
The Saudi Ambassador said his country had great love and affection for the Pakistani people and would always extend all-out support to them in the hour of need.
