Punjab Netball Association president Syed Shaharyar Ali and secretary Chaudhry Rizwan congratulated Punjab officials on earning three main positions in the National Netball Umpiring Course 2012 which was concluded at PSB National Coaching and Training Centre, Karachi. Three of Punjab officials grabbed top positions during the course and brought good name to the province. The course was organised by the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) in collaboration with Sindh Netball Association and National Umpiring Association. In the umpiring category of the event, Farhan Ali of Punjab secured the first position by gaining 74 marks while Sehar of Islamabad bagged second with 73 marks and Abdul Wahab of Punjab got third with 72 marks. In technical official i.e. scorer, timekeeper and PP umpire category, Yasir Ali of Punjab grabbed first position with 71 marks, Saddam Hussain of Baluchistan second with 60 marks and both Umaima Zahoor and Darakshan (Sindh) earned third jointly with 57 marks. PNF secretary Mudassar Arain felicitated all the participants especially position holders and hoped that they would utilize their skills in the field and help in strengthening the technical department. PNF Treasurer M Riaz was the chief guest and distributed trophies, certificates and PNF ID cards among the successful participants.
