PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said resolution of the Kashmir dispute was essential for durable Indo-Pak relations and peaceful regional environment. Talking to a senior Indian journalist Kuldeep Niar, Nawaz said Pakistan was in favour of friendly relations with neighbouring countries. “It’s our priority of our party policy to establish ties with neighboring countries on equal basis and have good friendly environment.” “Indo-Pak relations can be built up through mutual understanding and cooperation which requires settlement of Kashmir issue with involvement of Kashmiri people,” he stressed. Meanwhile, on the invitation of former federal minister Rais Munir Ahmed Khan, Nawaz will address a public meeting in Rahimyar Khan on March 29. The PML-N sources said the party chief will meet party workers at the residence of MAN Arshad Laghari and will exchange various issues regarding general elections. According to Nawaz’s Political Secretary Dr Asif Karmani, Nawaz will visit Bhong where he will address a public meeting. He will pin-point the failures of the incumbent PPP coalition partners, bad governance and faults of the economic policy which led to price-hike and unemployment.
