Jordanian chief justice visits IIUI

Jordanian Chief Justice Muhammad Al-Mhamid visited the Faisal Mosque and the International Islamic University (IIUI) Dr Hameedullah Library
on Tuesday.
Justice Al-Mhamid is visiting Pakistan after being invited by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
During his visit, Justice Al-Mhamid highly appreciated the collection of books and research journals at the Dr Hameedullah Library.
He also expressed interest in training the students and faculty of the Jordanian Shariah Academy.
He said Islam has emphasised the importance of justice and that the Almighty had ordained for the dispensation of justice among the masses.
He informed that Jordan’s Shariah Court deals with personal, domestic, familial and civil affairs.
He said Jordan’s Institute of Judicial Training provides scholarships to high performing students and provides employment opportunities to them.
IIUI Rector Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik presented the university’s shield and a book titled the ‘Asma-ul-Husna’ to the chief justice.
He said IIUI is interested in sending students from its Shariah Academy to Jordan for judicial training.
