Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that his board has line-up some other cricket teams in case the Bangladesh does not tour Pakistan next month.
Talking to journalists in Islamabad Zaka said he doesn’t want to disclose which cricket boards they are and will wait until Bangladesh makes a decision. Bangladesh’s cricket board has submitted a security report on Pakistan to its government after its president Mustafa Kamal led a nine-member delegation to the country earlier this month. A foreign news agency quoted Ashraf as saying that the BD president is satisfied with the security arrangements, but the board is still waiting for clearance from the government. PCB wants to host Bangladesh for either three one-day internationals or two ODIs plus a Twenty20 match. The host cities remain negotiable.
Meanwhile, Zaka put his weight behind captain Misbah-ul-Haq and stated that he is an Asia Cup winning captain and there is no point in bringing in other captain.
Earlier there were reports that the PCB plans to remove Misbah as ODi and T20 captain and appoint Mohammad Hafeez of rbing back Shahid Afridi. But he ruled out any such change and said that he has done a good job as captain and there is no need to change the captain.
