PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said that Sindh and Punjab were equally dear to him and the government had done nothing for the people during the last four years.
Addressing a public gathering on Monday, he said looting and plundering had become routine. “We exterminated all the brutes from their dens in Sindh in our time,” he said.
He said the people of Sindh were left at the mercy of floods, adding that the Punjab government did its best to help the flood-hit people, particularly in Sindh.
Nawaz said he had signed an agreement with the president for progress and prosperity of the nation, but the PPP government used it for their vested interests in the name of so-called democracy.
He said the media had played its right role for highlighting the issues of people on a national level.
He said the Sindh government had done nothing for academic uplift of students.
“In Punjab, students are being provided laptops and computers while Sindh, Baloch and KP people are deprived of potable drinking water,” he said, adding that the rulers were responsible for extortion incidents in Karachi and elsewhere.
He said the political parties in Sindh had militant wings and the Supreme Court already had mentioned it in its orders.
Nawaz questioned the government’s silence over extortions and targeted killings, adding that the federal government had completed four years but it did not deserve congratulation, as no outstanding achievement was visible.
He also criticised coalition partners, saying they had stood by the government despite its anti-human policies.
Praising Marvi Memon, he said her endeavours were praiseworthy, as she had launched a website in Sindhi language for the rights of women.
