Judges get proper training

Under the directions of Chief Justice, Lahore High Court Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, a capacity building service training course for 23 District and Sessions Judges has been started in Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) Lahore.
Director General PJA, Justice (R) Tanveer Ahmad Khan, Provincial Secretary Law, Dr Abu al Hassan Najmi, DG Human Rights and Vigilance Cell of LHC, Kazim Ali Malik and Dr Danishwar Malik will deliver lectures at the inaugural session while Judges of Lahore High Court and other experts on law and constitution will discuss legal technicalities with the participants during this week long training exercise. It is worth mentioning here that CJ has declared 2012 as the year of capacity building by means of sustained and rigorous training for judges at the judicial hierarchy of the Province. Two more courses will also commence at the end of April and beginning of May for District and Session Judges. 300 Civil Judges have already completed their training at Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Multan.
