New housing schemes for FG employees

The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation intends to launch a new housing scheme for FG employees on ownership basis in Sector F-13 or F-14.
Two residential schemes are also under consideration of the Foundation which are aimed at effectively meeting the growing housing needs of FG employees in Capital.
A senior official at Ministry of Housing and Works on Sunday said these are high-rise apartment schemes in Sector G-13/1 & 4, Islamabad and a plots scheme at Barakahu, Islamabad (Zone-IV).
The official said besides the above mentioned schemes, Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) is in the process of launching new residential schemes at I-16 and Kurri Road, Zones-IV, Islamabad.
Under the scheme in I-16, 1960 EI-Type Apartments, having 500 Sft covered and 120 units with 4722 Sft covered area (50×90 Category -I) would be constructed.
The other scheme is in Kurri Are, Islamabad where 191 units with 3431 Sft and 1995 Sft covered area of different categories would be built. The implementation process on these schemes is planned to be started this year, he added. For I-16 project, he said planning and designing has been completed and has been submitted to CDA for approval.
Moreover, the official said at Kurri Road Islamabad project, the work on the development of infrastructure by Pakistan Housing Authority is in progress and expected to be completed by February, 2013.
The official said launch of apartments scheme in Sector G-13 by FGEHF is in advance stage. Applications have been invited from registered members of Housing Foundation, seeking their option.
Over 5.73 million citizens verify votes through SMS: Cellular companies in the country are competing to encourage citizens for verification of their votes through Short Message Service (SMS) as over 5.73 million citizens have so far availed this facility.
This SMS service was launched from March 1 to facilitate citizens to verify their vote registration and particulars in the voters lists. Deputy Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Tariq Malik on Sunday told APP that Mobilink, being the largest mobile phone operator is leading in term of checking vote verification through SMS with 31 percent overall share.
Mobilink’s share in total SMS utilized for the purpose is 31.17 percent. Telenor is second as far as using the particular service is concerned. Its share is 28 percent, Ufone is third in a row with 22 percent in total SMS, Warid with 10 percent and Zong with 9 percent in total SMS share.
Tariq Malik said Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in collaboration with NADRA and mobile phone operators launched the world’s biggest short message service (SMS) for 83.2 million Pakistani voters besides displaying new electoral rolls across the country.
He said on sending at short code 8300 CNIC number (without dashes), a voters gets an SMS with the information of his/her electoral area name in Urdu language, where she/he is registered to vote, including tehsil and district. Exact Block code number per Pakistan Census Organization is also displayed with serial number in the respective voters list.
He said this information helps the person file for any objection and claims, in case one feels correction is required.
Tariq Malik said relevant forms are available on ECP website and at more than 50,000 display centers where these lists are displayed and added the ball is in citizens court they need to check their vote and make necessary correction, before its too late.
This innovative service is a milestone to facilitate the voters, he said, adding it is a great convenience to the citizens who are now able to check their vote status through e-governance using state-of-the-art technologies.
He also appreciated the cooperation of mobile companies in this historic move leading towards ensuring free and fair elections. This is the initial phase and cellular companies will design more strategies to encourage citizens while with the passage of time.

  1. no servant can get those as the prices are very high. for example a person having Rs. 20000 per month how he can get a plot at house @2500000. it is just a joke with SARKARI MULAZEMEN

    • Exact Time is not decided yet, the application for approval is submitted to Prime minister office.
