Indian parliamentarians call on governor

A delegation of Indian parliamentarians as well as members of the business community called on Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa and discussed measures to enhance friendly ties as well as mutual cooperation between the two countries during a meeting at the Governor House here Sunday.
Canadian parliamentarians of the Indian origin were also part of the delegation. PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badar was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Punjab governor said the recent visit of Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Meera Kumar and Commerce Minister Anand Sharma has improved relations between the neighboring countries. He said leadership of both the countries agreed in principles that the outstanding issues between the countries should be resolved through dialogue. Khosa stressed the need to promote exchange of trade delegations between Pakistan and India for economic progress in the region as well as improving lot of the people on both sides of the border.
