Police on Monday claimed to have arrested key accused of firing incident outside the venue of Mushaira organised by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Police said that the accused along with eleven others accomplices were involved in the firing, adding that the accused named Munir Khan was arrested from Shah Faisal Colony area of the city.
They said that a case has been lodged at Boat Basin police station and investigations were underway.
On Sunday unidentified armed men opened fire outside the venue of poetry symposium organised by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) at ‘Do-Talwar’ area of Karachi. The organisers had to stop the show for security reasons after the firing.
