When British forces were marching into Oudh after the famous battle of Plassey, the courtiers in the king’s court were busy arguing whether the British army was masculine or feminine. The debate started from a report when someone informed them that the British army was marching towards Oudh. Similarly, the queen of France in the 18th century advised the minister to tell Parisians to eat cakes, if they can’t find bread.

Learning from history, we should read article 248 of our Constitution, if our kids die of hunger or we have 18 hours load shedding or the train stops at Khanewal on way to Peshawar from Karachi. If that does not serve the purpose, read article 65 C-2 and read it together with article 195. All issues will be solved within two hours.

When one feels like eating some seasonal fruit, the person should know that Constitution has been amended 18th, 19th and then 20th times. Each amendment is worth kilos of fresh oranges and apples. Sometimes, the relatives demand refreshments. I tell them about NFC award and bomb blasts. They just keep quiet after that. But the best part of it is that I do not leave them able to make these silly demands or expectations, when I initiate with them NRO, Memogate, Contempt, Mehrangate, etc. Some of the relatives are very intelligent but I outsmart them by telling interesting stories about Railway, PIA, and Steel Mill, not to forget NLCI, OGDC, Hajj scandal.

Thanks God, I come out the winner, courtesy Zardari/Gilani and Co.
