Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, President Pakistan Football Federation and member AFC Executive Committee attended the AFC Executive Committee (EXCO) meeting in AFC House, Kuala Lumpur.
He is the first Pakistani who has been elected to the prestigious body which deals with important administrative mattes and promotion programme for the development of football in Asia.
The AFC EXCO is responsible for ratifying and approving the decisions of the AFC Standing Committees. The AFC EXCO met for the first time for this year and deliberated upon several important issues and took crucial decisions for the development of Asian football.
The AFC EXCO approved the proposal for change of name of the AID-27 Monitoring Committee to AFC Financial Assistants Programme (AFAP) to bring in lines with FIFA aid programme. The AFC EXCO also approved enhancement in AFAP annual grant to members Associations.
