At least eight militants were killed in Khyber Agency area in an explosion inside their hideout, sources said on Saturday.
According to sources, the blast occurred due to explosive material inside the hideout of the militants accidentally, which they used for making bombs.
Security forces launched a search operation in the area following the blast.
