Chief of his own faction of Pakistan Muslim League, Mian Nawaz Sharif on Friday gave away hundreds of laptops to students in Punjab University of Lahore, reiterating his commitment to strive for multiplying opportunities of education for the countrymen.
He announced that one million more laptops would be distributed next year, if his faction came into power after general elections.
“Seeing these shiny eyes of the students, I’m very much hopeful about Pakistan’s future which will be brighter by the grace of God,” Sharif hoped, addressing a ceremony on the occasion where hundreds of students were present, marking 72nd Pakistan Day on March 23.
“I hope that that alike these students every Pakistani pupil will be using the laptop,” Nawaz said, assuring that the distribution was being carried out in fair and transparent manner.
Nawaz Sharif said though the country was facing numerous challenges including load shedding but expressed the hope that youth have potential to cope with this situation.
He said “by seeing the spirit of the students he could say that we will overcome all the problems successfully.”
Mr. Sharif said “we always favored a change through vote because a democratic set up is far better than the dictatorship and martial laws.”
He said martial laws brought numerous damages to the country and they sown the seeds of hate among our people.
He said frequent martial law and dictatorships kept us backward and now the country was facing multiple problems.
He said “our neighbouring country is successful because of the continuity and consistency of democracy.”
He said his party believed in practical steps to address the public grievances.

  1. Dear Nawaz Sharief you are very innocent man,You cannot do plitics. You must quit this job,as you are not fit for that work.you are gifted ~CHOORIAN AND MEHNDI and sincerely advise you to put on BURQA and start becoming Sadhu as you are a really very sharief namely a masoom gentleman and start getting education to learn politics in rh rest of your life.If PPP was in opposition and unluckily you were in government seats,PPP would not let you govern Pakistan and remove you immediately.Lot of things are going agaisnt innocent people, but you do not care,if anything goes agaisnt you ,you move at once ot safeguard your interests. So better to leave politics and be enclaved at Raiwind Palace.

    • From your writing you might be a child around twenties Dear. Nawaz Sharif a politican who reined PPP when he was very novice in politics. However he learned a lot. There is nothing in confrontation. Kaka Ji

      • My Dear, we must not forget that Nawaz shareef is looter and completely corrupt poilitician who made most of his wealth after coming to power. Who can forget his attack of supreme court, his freezing of foreign currecny accounts, his issuance of order to CBR for waiver of duties for scrap coming from abroad for ittefaq foundaries. What more, he was staunch follower of general gilani and zia ul haq.

Shame on shareef brothers, thier days are Inshallah , numbered.

  2. Please 1st bring democracy in your party & home.
How many close members of your family in politics & for years ?In contrast many districts of pakistan have no representation.
    Stop making people fool

  3. India is Backward and anti-Islamic compared to Pakistan…Democracy has nothing to do with development…Look how Saudi Arabia has developed…this is called development…where religion is at the pinnacle…

    • I am really impressed by your observation. Can you quote one field other than religion
where Saudi Arabia has progressed. How many medical colleges has it. How many science univesities has it got? What international research can it,s universities boast off? I recollect that clerics just ask people to pray since God had given them everything. when pressed further a minister said that foreigner took oil and gave them?presents. The present ruler is the first one to break out of the traditional mould and gently tried to change and ordered a scince university to built a few years ago. it is still in planning phase.
When a saudi arabian prince falls ill where does he head for?
My personal observations are based on years of attending medical conferences !
i agree with you religion is at the pinnacle inSaudi Arabia.
May i politely ask in which way is India backwards. I am ignorant and need guidance.
