Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) said on Friday that miscreants have damaged its transmission system in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PEPCO spokesman said that at least six electricity towers of 500 KV were damaged in Larkana Road, Dadu and Jamshoro, suspending electricity supply to several areas including Jamshoro, Hub and Karachi.
He said that towers were not completely damaged but bent over. The PEPCO said that the repair work had been started while supply of electricity had been transferred to parallel lines.
Two towers have also been partially damaged in Mardan district.
