Two bandits were arrested from Landhi No-II Area, police said on Wednesday. The Landhi police said the two men deprived a pharmaceutical firm representative, Irfan Baig, of his belongings at gunpoint in Landhi No-II 37-D-1 area. Baig informed a patrolling police party about the incident. The police chased the robbers who were fleeing on their motorcycle. The robbers’ motorcycle hit a vehicle coming from the opposite direction and the two men were injured. The police arrested them and recovered two TT pistols, looted valuables and Rs 96,500 cash from their possession. They were identified as Basharat Ali and Naveed, both residents Base Colony. Separately, a boy was killed and his mother injured in a road accident near Banaras Chowrangi on Wednesday. Witnesses said that a car hit Abdul Rahim and his mother when they were crossing a road.
