Punjab chief minister Special on Health Kh Salman Rafique has said government had allocated huge funds for providing modern health facilities to the people of Punjab. He said free diagnostic and treatment facilities were available to tuberculoses patients in all government hospitals across the province. He expressed these views while talking to reporters after leading an awareness walk regarding TB in connection with the International Tuberculoses Day on Wednesday. He said mostly poor and less-privileged people fall victim to TB who did not have financial resources for a long and costly treatment as 8 to 9 month treatment was required for complete recovery from TB.
