The reports by both the United Nations and the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) blame former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf for the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, according to an article published in the New York Daily News. The reports come in the wake of criminal proceedings against the seven accused in the case, including Musharraf, and the Pakistan government requesting Interpol to issue an international warrant for Musharraf’s arrest. According to Mark Siegel’s article, the United Nations’ 70-page report concludes that the failure of police to effectively probe Bhutto’s assassination, and the destruction of evidence, was “deliberate and ordered from above”. The JIT report said that Musharraf, working along with two police officers, was aware of the assassination plot against Bhutto and its timing, and personally ordered the destruction of evidence. The police officers facilitated the terrorists, who devised various phases of the plot, from conception to execution and cover-up operations, it added. Despite the fact that Musharraf had ordered security teams to guard two other former prime ministers who were his political supporters, Bhutto was provided with virtually no security.

  1. To Mush poodle of Bush
Rest assured, you poodle of Bush, Benazir will haunt you rest of your life. You are advancing ludicrous explanations to absolve yourself from the crime which deprived a leader who had a vision and was most popular leader of the country.

You poodle of Bush you behaved like a pharoah and never occurred to you that one day you will be out of office. Look you commando you made tremendous amount of money when you were in office otherwise how would you construct a brand new palatial house and interesting thing that you will never be able to enjoy that palace.

I dare you come to Pakistan and surely you will be behind bars. You have no guts to face difficulties.

  2. Musharraf had better things to do than plan a murder of a petty thief like BB. She has corruption charges pending all over the world. She was a wheeler and dealer and made back door deals to be able to come back to the country. What did Pakistan accomplish during her two terms? NOTHING!!! I am surprised that people follow her blindly without looking at her record which happens to be pathetic. If Bhutto was not her last name, she would be a nobody. Musharraf did more for the country than the Bhuttos ever could. Her father was responsible for Pakistan breaking up. If he was so democratic then why did he not let Mujib form the govt. After all he did win the election. Lets just look at the hard facts and not be blinded by emotions.

  3. Look someone has come in favour of so called commando who is hiding like a rat. He damaged the democratic institutions and pressurised judiciary but to sack CJP was his monumental blunder and mscalculation. He behaved like a monarch. He handed over province of Sindh to MQM thugs. He behaved like sector in-charge of MQM in Islamabad.
I dare him to come to Pakistan and taste one of the jails in the country..

  5. The biggest blunder he made was to let nawaz and thugs out of the country alive. Can anybody compare his term in office to any other leader? There is no comparison. Its unfortunate that we treat our heroes like criminals and put the criminals incharge of running the country. No wonder we have not progressed like the other south asian countries.

  6. Next to letting bhutto back into the country, his biggest blunder was to let nawaz out of the country alive.

  7. He should never have let nawaz out of the country in one piece. That is a mistake that I am sure he is regretting. And so are we.
