Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Wednesday that decision about next elections would be taken after consultations with allies.
Talking to the journalists, the prime minister said nobody needed to worry since the media and the judiciary was free in the country as well as there was political stability.
He said neither did NATO supply was shut on someone’s call nor would it be opened on someone’s prodding. “The Parliament has the final say on this,” he added. The PM said local election was purely a provincial matter warranting no federal intrusion on the subject.
Separately, the outgoing Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza and Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan called on the prime minister at Prime Minister’s House.
The PM appreciated the services of outgoing chief election commissioner in holding free, fair and transparent elections in the country.
The prime minister particularly mentioned the role of Election Commission during his tenure to improve the electoral process and also substantial progress made in preparing authentic electoral lists through the use of state of art technology.
y Gillani wants a serious tight slap from me
A tight kick would be much better for him
Rightly said that Gillani wants a slap,, his government has nothing to do for solving any issue , they just pay lip service
kick his head with big iron…every thing will be ok…
