LA man stabbed his 20-year-old neighbour to death over a petty issue in the Gulshane Ravi Police Area on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Shakoor, a resident of huts of located near Double Sarkan Gulshane Ravi.
The police said the deceased got involved in a clash with his neighbour namely Noora over petty issue during which Noora attacked Shakoor with a sharp weapon. Resultantly Shakoor sustained multiple injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital for medical aid where he succumbed to his injuries. Police reached the scene and removed the body of the deceased to the morgue for autopsy. The police also arrested the killer after registering a case against him on the complaint of deceased’s brother Ghafoor. Further investigations are underway.
ROBBER ESCAPES FROM JINNAH HOSPITAL: An injured robber, who was nabbed by the locals of Military Housing Society during a robbery bid and was admitted at Jinnah Hospital, managed to escape from police custody on Tuesday.
Per details, some four days ago, locals of Military Housing Society captured an injured robber and handed him over to Saddar Division Police, whose officials shifted him to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. Two constables namely Liaqat and Khadim were deputed to keep an eye on the robber but on Tuesday the robber escaped from the hospital. Saddar Division SP Shoaib Khurram Janbaaz suspended two constables and ordered an enquiry against them.
ACCIDENTS: Speeding vehicles knocked down and killed two persons in two different areas of the city on Tuesday.
In first mishap, a speeding car hit and injured Nawaz near Kothay Pind Stop in Faisal Town Area. The injured was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Similarly in Kahna Police Area, an unidentified speeding vehicle injured a 35-year-old man namely Shafiq. Locals rushed Shafiq to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police after reaching the scene removed the bodies of two deceased men to morgue for autopsies and started searching for the drivers of two vehicles, who managed to escape from the scene.
KIDNAPPING: Unidentified kidnappers kidnapped a trader from Dehli Gate Area on Tuesday. The victim was identified as trader Muhammad Akram, a resident of Ahata Taizab Garh Misri Shah.
Per details Muhammad Akram was going some where along with his son when some unidentified men intercepted them and took Muhammad Akram on gun point, bundled him into their vehicle and took off. Police registered a case and probing into the matter. The police said the heirs of victim had not received any demand from the kidnapper for ransom. However they had started investigating on different aspects like kidnapping for ransom.
FIRE: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were gutted when fire erupted at five different places in the city on Tuesday. Fire erupted in a house of one Adnan, a resident of Islampura Area, in a local furniture manufacturing factory owned by one Muhammad Ameen in Jallo Mor Area, in a godown of cardboard owned by one Asif in Sherakot Area, in a cosmetics manufacturing factory owned by one Mehboob in Baghbanpura Area and in a house of one Mehmood located in Garden Town Area owing to shot circuits.
Fire gutted valuables worth thousands of rupees to ashes. Rescue officials after being informed reached the scene and extinguished fire.
IDENTIFICATION: Two young men, whose bodies were recovered by Shadbagh Police from a rented house some two days ago, on Tuesday were identified as Imran and Bilal, residents of Green Town Area.
The heirs had filed a complaint of their kidnapping against unidentified kidnappers in Green Town Police, over which police has registered a case of kidnapping against unidentified kidnappers.
Meanwhile Shadbagh Police have not arrested the killers, who had rented a house of one Liaqat Ali in Shadbagh Area without providing any proof of their identity. The killers took keys from the property dealer Farhan saying that they want to get the house white washed before shifting but despite shifting they escaped after hiding the bodies of Imran and Bilal behind a wall.
