The International Chicago Labour Confederation (Pakistan chapter) will award its Lifetime Achievement Award to President Asif Ali Zardari. The announcement was made at a special meeting of the Labour Confederation’s central committee, presided over by Confederation Chairman Dr Azam Arrain on Tuesday. The award has been announced in recognition of President Zardari’s role in passing the Industrial Relations Act and the Labour Policy 2010; the re-instatement of 14,000 employees, the regularisation of 72,000 contract and daily wage employees and the 100 percent increase in the salaries of government servants during the last four years.
He also got a lifetime achievement award for corruption. How come nobody mentioned that.
