Near-simultaneous attacks in half a dozen Iraqi cities on Tuesday killed at least 23 people, including two Iranian pilgrims, security and medical officials said.
Nearly 100 people were wounded in the attacks, which occurred between 7:00 am (0400 GMT) and 8:30 am (0530 GMT).
The two biggest attacks occurred in the Shiite shrine city of Karbala, where 13 people were killed and 48 wounded, and the northern oil hub of Kirkuk, where six people were killed and 30 wounded, according to officials.
