An exhibition of paintings by Khusro Subzwari and Afshan Kohari was recently opened at the Grandeur Art Gallery. Leading artists and art lovers attended he exhibition on its opening day. The show is curated by Neshmia Ahmad, owner of the art gallery. The exhibition will continue till March 24. Khusro Subzwari is a self-taught artist, with a master’s degree in civil engineering. ”The background in engineering proved to be an asset in understanding and the development of textures, and the three dimensional perspectives of images on a canvas,” he says. Currently, Subzwari is working on five series: Sufism (whirling dervish series), exotic trees and gardens including the beauty of organic life close-ups, beauty and colours of nature, peacocks and Venice through the eyes of artist. Afshan Kohari is also a self-taught artist. She likes to paint nature, flowers and landscapes. She is also a calligraphy artist.
