Dusty winds continue across country

Meteorological Department Tuesday forecast that many areas of the country would remain under the fallout triggered by the dust storm triggered from the Arabian Gulf.
The dry and dusty winds disrupted the routine life in various areas of the federal capital and nearby cities while many fights were cancelled at Islamabad airport.
Roofs of many houses swept away due to stormy winds in Murree and its suburb areas.
Karachi was overcast with layers of dust when gale-force winds generated from Arabian Sea, entered Sindh from Balochistan.
Streets and roads were soon deserted as a result of overlapping sandstorm diminishing the visibility. Also, the flight service was affected in Karachi, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Moinjo Daro, Quetta, Jakobabad, Gwadar and Pasni airports.
According to Meteorological Department, these winds will not cause to increase the intensity of cold; however, the temperature may drop as a result.
Sandstorm covered several Sindh cities in dust. The commercial activities and routine life were adversely impacted in Sukkur among other cities, causing the traffic to vanish from the roads.
Huge billboards and rooftops of several houses were blown away by the dust-storm in Nawabshah and its suburbs.
