Car snatchers and drug pushers arrested

The city police claimed to have arrested 19 outlaws, including car snatchers, drug pushers and dacoits, and recovered five stolen cars, six kilograms of hashish, four pistols, five mobile phones and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Bhara Kahu SHO Inspector Mehbood Ahmed and Sihala SHO Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi nabbed seven persons and recovered from them four cars stolen from Rawalpindi, Okara, Lahore and Islamabad.
Two pistols were also recovered from the outlaws, identified as Khuram Shahazad, Aamir Javed, Asad Javed, Tauseef Arif, Qamar Zia, Nadeem and Kashif who also confessed to thefts and dacoities. Sub Inspector Shahid Mehmud of Secretariat police nabbed a car snatcher, Munawar Jamal, and recovered a car, a mobile phone and cash from him.
ASI Muhammad Riaz of Shahzad Town police recovered six kilograms of hashish from a vehicle during special checking at Service Road near Zia Masjid and arrested the occupant of a vehicle, Mughees Muhammad. Shahzad Town police also arrested an accused Riaz and recovered a 32-bore revolver form him while Nilore police arrested an accused, Matloob, in possession of a 12-bore gun.
Koral police apprehended six Afghan nationals, Adnan, Shah Wali, Arshad, Noor-ur-Rehman, Khan Agha and Ali Razzaq who could not justify their stay in Pakistan. Koral police also arrested an accused Siddique in possession of a gun while ASI Ejaz Ali Shah from Aabpara police nabbed Muzammil and recovered four stolen mobiles from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested a bootlegger, Kahsif, and recovered two bottles of liquor from him.
