The actress turned chef turned lifestyle Goop guru has slammed the paper for running a piece that alleges she co-wrote her best-selling cookbook ‘My Father’s Daughter’ with a ghostwriter. Slip on your oven mitts because here’s what she had to say. On her Facebook page, Paltrow wrote, “Love @nytimes dining section but this weeks facts need checking. No ghost writer on my cookbook, I wrote every word myself.” There you go: can’t get more definitive than that. In a story on cookbook ghostwriters published last week, the paper claimed that food writer and chef Julia Turshen “is writing a second cookbook with Gwyneth Paltrow after their collaboration on ‘My Father’s Daughter’.” Even more damning, the paper used the cover of Paltrow’s cookbook as the main image for the story. The funny irony here is that Paltrow’s tome hit The New York Times’ best-seller list, cracking the top ten shortly after it was published last April.
