Afaq accuses Altaf on introducing extortion

Muhajir Qaumi Movement head Afaq Ahmad said on Monday that Altaf Hussain introduced extortion in Karachi.
Talking to media on Monday, he said that Altaf collected Rs 50 million from the industrial area of the city only and added that Rs two to three million were taken from Builders Association.
Afaq said further that now Altaf was making hue and cry over extortion, which was out of thought. As a matter of fact, he had made Karachi hostage in the name of mandate, Afaq said.
He said that police had arrested so many workers of Altaf Hussain involved in extortion on different occasions.
“We strongly condemn the extortion. Media should play its role in bringing the real issues of Karachi to the people”, he added.
Muhajir Qaumi Movement is ready to negotiate every political party including Muttahida Qaumi Movement to take away the weapons from the people in Karachi.
He said a state of ambiguity was prevailing in Karachi due to increasing incidents of extortion and kidnapping for ransom and due to very reasons, the foreign investors were reluctant to invest there.
