Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani has expressed serious concern over the allocation of Rs 30,000 crore for defence by New Delhi, saying this is being done to become a big military power in the world. According to KMS, Ali Gilani said: “Allocation of huge part of budget for defence expenditures betrays New Delhi’s designs for erritorial aggrandizement. This country wants to show its military supremacy in the region and overawe its neighbouring countries.” He maintained that by allocating huge budget for defence related expenditure was like to create further tension in South Asia. The veteran leader pointed out that India was least bothered about the welfare of its people.
