Citizens have protested against the establishment of illegal gas filling businesses in residential areas. These businesses have been set-up in areas like Sadar Bazaar, Railway Road, Tench Bhatt, Chungi No 22 Bakra Mandi, Tahli Mohri, Dhok Sayedan, Misrial Road, Raja Bazar, Dhok Khabba, Satellite Town and Pir Wadhai. Several accidents have also occurred as a result of the businesses’ operation, but no action has been taken to shut down the businesses. The citizens blamed the district administration of collaborating with the outlet owners. A group of traders said an announcement had been made a few days back that an operation would be launched against the businesses, but so far no steps had been taken in this regard.
