The city police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 57 persons involved in street crimes during the current year and recovered 59 mobile phones and looted cash from their possession, a police spokesman said here Saturday.
On the directions of IGP Bani Amin Khan, SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik directed all police officials and SHOs to launch a campaign against those involved in street crimes. During this drive, the capital police obtained the record of those who had ever remained involved in street crimes and arrested 57 criminals. The city circle police arrested 15 outlaws and recovered 15 mobile phones, Sadar circle police arrested 22 and recovered 21 mobile phones and cash.
