Annual sports festival of Post Graduate Medial Institute and Lahore General Hospital is going to be held today March 17 at Punjab Stadium which will be participated by doctors, nurses, student nurses and their families. The event included chati race, three leg race, back race, musical chair, band march and gol gappay eating completion etc. will continue from 2.00pm to 8.00pm at night. Special Assistant to chief Minister on Health MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique will distribute prizes among the position holders at the end of the event.
This was told by Prof Tariq Salah ud Din, Principal PGMI and LGH while presiding over a review meeting about the arrangements of the event. He said that more than 200 employees of PGMI and LGH have registered their names for participation in the event. He further told that PGMI and LGH could not offer proper opportunities of recreation to its employees even after 53 years of their creation. This area is now being focused which will definitely refresh the energies of doctors and nurses who remain under stress and strain constantly due to very nature of their profession, he added. Prof. Tariq said that he is trying his best to set positive and healthy traditions in the Institution and he is hopeful that the sports festival would become a permanent annual feature during coming years.
