Anti literacy militants blew up a government school with explosives here in the wee hours of Friday.
According to details, unknown miscreants had planted two locally manufactured bombs in a Govt High School located in Kaddi area of Swabi, in Zaida police station jurisdiction which exploded at 3:00am.
Headmaster and clerk offices along with two rooms were completely destroyed while the official record was burnt due to fire caused by the blast.
The night watchman of the school fortunately survived in the blast with minor wounds.
The police said that it was high intensity blast and heard in the entire area creating panic and fear among the dwellers.
SHO Zaida, Nazir Khan along with heavy contingent of police reached the scene of the blast, gathered the evidences and started search operation for the militants.
