Business administration students of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) organised “Rang Dey” as a project assigned for their business ethics course by their teacher.
The objectives of the project were to help the poor, save the planet, be socially responsible and to make money at the same time.
In order to achieve these objectives, a fundraising event titled Rang Dey was held at a farmhouse recently where activities like rang, kite flying, rodeo bull, wipe-out, scavenger hunt and music were held.
After learning about corporate social responsibility, the students practised it by giving a part of the proceeds from the event to the Make-A-Wish Foundation-Pakistan, the SSWAB Trust and by planting trees in some areas of Karachi.
