Hundreds of butchers and meat traders protested and violently tried to stop the working of Lahore’s newly-constructed slaughter-house on Thursday, causing disruption in meat supply to the citizens. Nearly 500 butchers, led by Pakistan Jamiat Al-Quraish President Shaikh Anwar, raided the Lahore Meat Complex on Thursday and tried to ransack newly-installed, state-of-the-art slaughter house, disrupting the workings of the facility.
