Al-Zawahiri claims custody of US man abducted from Pakistan

Al-Qaeda chief Dr Ayman al-Zawahiri has said that US citizen abducted from Lahore, is in the custody of his organisation.
In a video tape, according to media reports on Friday, Zawahiri who took charge of the outfit after Osama bin Laden’s death, said that the US citizen would not be released until their demands are met. He said the US citizen would not be released until release of Dr Afia Siddiqui, Sheikh Umar and family of slain al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.
It is to mention here that An American aid expert Warren Weinstein, 63, was kidnapped at gunpoint from his house in Lahore in August last year.
The US embassy said he worked for a private company and was kidnapped before dawn in the upscale Model Town neighbourhood, just two days before he was due to return to the United States after spending more than four years in the country.
